7/9 1954, retailer Edvard Ohlander bought his new bus, a 1954 Klein, to travel around the villages to sell everything from radios to grindstones, basically anything he could sell.
Bengt Olander was at the time 25 years old and helped out his father working on radios and travelling to customers, he also drove the car but was not allowed to shift up to fourth gear… this you did not do…
Today, Bengt Olander got to see his fathers old bus again at the age of 92.

Great story, great photo.
It looks like your bus was dropped in place. I see no tire marks on the grass.

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon.

Thanks all Very Happy
I did the same with my -54 oval, found the first owner and paid him a visit Pray

gatorwyatt; he was a sweet old man happy to tell stories of the bus and his own life, he noticed it was a bit lower Laughing colour is almost the same, OG above the waist and a previous owner painted the lower part doveblue, it was a lighter blue when found.

LAGrunthaner; Thanks, maybe the grass is really strong out in the country side Wink

finster; Don´t think so, his father did not and would not let him do it, and due to him having a bad hip and Covid I did not want to ask him to go for a drive with me Sad
