The manual that came with my bus when I bought it from the original owner 43+ years ago is missing 14 pages of the center 16 page signature and the 2 pages before the center pages are trimmed well out of register. Is this something that would be considered a collectible in the VW world.
I would think the manuals were printed on a Heidelberg Offset Printing Press, which were made in Germany and had always been considered to be the best of the best. This was not an actual ink on paper mistake, for this particular manual someone in the bindery / finishing department did not catch their mistake.
