I have a pair of old square bar Thule racks on the roof spaced at 55” and my arb awning mount to that. I want to add a long cargo basket to these bats. Issue I have is not many give you the spacing requirements. This one is 64” inside. I’m wondering if anyone knows of one that I can use the 55” width for of if it would work with this one.

I don't have that rack, but I hope this will help. I have a Yakima Mega-Warrior which is about 64" overall. Their directions say to keep the bars between 30" and 50" apart. I put mine at 42" because I felt at 50" they were too close to the front and rear ends. Looking at the rack you are interested in, I would say my connectors are at the next space toward the front.

By too close to the ends you mean like not enough support in the middle? I found some 84” racks but still much smaller mounting spacing or nothing listed at all.

Yes, I felt I would lose some strength in the middle of the basket. That being said, the Yakima basket is quite stout and I would think they would not give you the options they do for distance between bars if they thought there would be a problem. I think mostly I didn't like the way it looked with the wider spacing. Sorry I can't help with the 84" version.
