|
|
My driver door is stuck closed and I can't open it. Therefore, I can't get to the outside edge of the door to free up the lock mechanism. The inside latch rod seems to be nice and loose and slides ok. The outside door latch doesn't do anything. Does anyone out there know a way to access the mechanism from inside the door to free up the latch? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks |

Is this a brand new problem?, or has the bus been sitting for years? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

New problem. My daughter and her boyfriend decided to try and fix all the locks on the bus. All were successful except this one. This one ended up jammed when they were finished. It has the lock with two parts like in the picture. That part of the problem works fine. Including the locking bar that goes back to the lock mechanism. That slides and pulls the connector rod fine. It's in the door mechanism on the end of the door that is jammed. Could the spring coil break maybe? |

Try removing the lever from inside the door and manually pulling the rod forward hard, the rod may need adjustment. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

is the door tight tight or does it have some play like it partially opens? _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |
