I'm trying to work out an entirely new walk through custom bay window idea and I could use some feedback. I want to put a glass front end on a bay window I'm thinking maybe a 37 chevy and extend the beam to fit. I will need to square off the lower rear front door corners as the wheels are far forward so no front wheel wells. I can fab the foot wells easy enough.
Does anyone know if bug door rear bottom corners and door frames would work?
I'm going to extend the trans out behind the bus and make a pu bed to house the trans and a 1.9 turbo diesel with a 11 or 12 mm 1.6 injector pump.
Radiator will be in the grill opening of the 37 Chevy front end run through muffler pipes with rubber hose ends.
The rear engine cover is covered with the front of the bed but I want to keep the opening rear hatch.
No rear wheel wells either. I can weld in sheet metal to cover the wheel well opening so the quarters run smooth to the rear. I can remove the inner wheel house and make a flat floor all the way to the interior rear wall. Most of the flooring is there just above the engine house.
I want a walk through to make top hinged swing up side doors. I'm going to make drop in plywood floors to match the door size with tent material walls and windows. I'm thinking the same for rear hatch for airflow through out. I'm thinking Safari windows for the front. I would like all the windows to pop out but I don't know if that is something that can be done. I can make magnetic screens for the windows.
I'm thinking a front to rear frame under the pan may be a good idea.

You mean like Ian Roussel’s “cartoon car” VW pickup?

My feedback is - I need to see this creation. Photos will be required. I want to see your imagination transformed into this build.
