I found a yard in PA with a half-dozen of them. Neat little vehicles. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

There's a little trailer for sale on FB Marketplace and there are two different Vanagons in the background in the photos.

At 18:30 he talks about the transmission and appears to express genuine sadness or heartbreak at it being the "weak spot" in the van. _________________ - Jim

White aircooled Vanagon "The Curse of the Pink Panther" (1983), filmed in France. Sgt. Clifton Sleigh is riding in a Peugeot taxi which is being chased by and shot at the antagonists in a black Citroen CX2000. The taxi runs over a ramp and flips on its roof, sliding down the street. Thus the perspective of the Vanagon while upside-down.
The Vanagon avoids the cement dust-covered Citroen on the curvy road.

Interesting to get a tour of Steve Schwenk's personal Syncro Westy.
Some nice mods. I like how he used the Tristar fender arches, but overall the van looks pretty stock from the outside. Lots of goodies on the inside!
Thanks for posting the link and thanks to Steve for taking the time to show us his van. _________________ Currently:

I always thought a North Face duffel or two would go good with my van. Apparently someone in marketing thinks the same thing. |

I thought this was kind of funny. A Vanagon with non-stock two-tone paint, non-stock wheels and non-stock bumper rolled onto a scene of "Finding Steve McQueen". The scene in question takes place before Nixon's second term in office which started in 1973. Nice anachronism.

In a new Indeed ad the narrator says, "Your shipping manager left to find himself..." and it shows a guy toting a box out to a waiting Westy. Trying to get a snip to post.
I can identify, though, 'cause that's what I did on my last day of work. Art imitating life?

Yep, the van was visible for about 1/2 second in the first three seconds of the spot. You need to be looking at the screen when it comes on. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |
