I see kits for type 1, etc but not Ghia. Is there any problem putting twin carbs and if so will type 1 fit?

The Ghia engine is a Type 1. The only issues in a Ghia is the height of the air cleaners might hit the decklid hinges.

the springs get in the way for some people.
offset CB manifolds help too, but often it is the air cleaner height that is the problem.
some more good info here
