Hello there,

Awhile back earlier this year, I sold my 65. I had that Bug for about 12 years and was very familiar with it. I've since purchased a 56 Oval. Don't get too excited, it's a driver.

I am in the process of fitting covers to the front seat backrests. Should there be a hardboard piece for the back of the seat?

Also has anyone had success with inserting the ends of the seat covers into the metal slotted tube when the seat covers are using a cardboard strip rather than a thin plastic strip? I am struggling with this and considering resewing the covers using a plastic interfacing.

Let me know if photos may help, thanks a bunch,
Rachael
