Epoxy was discussed and then it was moved away from. I did not use one ounce of bondo on my 68, epoxy was my filler of choice after I got the dents and imperfections out as best I could. I also used epoxy to install the new door skins, and other non-structural pieces. I like being able to strip something down to bare metal and after applying the epoxy, I don't have to worry about rust. Its not porous, there is no acid flux to worry about causing issues later. Epoxy adhesives that we have available now did not exist back in the 60s. I watched videos on youtube of Chuck Barris and one of his guys working with lead. Great artists in the custom car industry, but I don't think I want to go that route. Experiment, buy some automotive epoxy, glue something together, and then see how strong it is.
