...looks like how I modded the $15 GoWesty console, but allowing more room for front-to-back walk-through:

Awesome modification Dave!!

We still haven't settled on one we love, but are playing around with it before we buy or build anything!

Well, in my 1990 Tintop I have a small Dometic portable refrigerator. CDF-11

https://www.amazon.com/Dometic-CDF-11-Smallest-Por...op?ie=UTF8

I have my lunch in there and beverages for a hot day.

It has two (ridiculously small) cup holders on the front edge and a very good anti slip pad on top.

My problem is, where does everything else go?
Trash can
Receipts
miscellaneous tools
Pens/pencils/markers
Maps (yes, those paper things)
Large cup holder
Paper towels
Change
Nail clippers
Sanitizing wipes
Etc (you get the picture)

It all bounced around on the floor or passenger seat.
It was a mess!

I was in Home Depot and I saw their Husky 10” open top tool carrier......
"I wonder......."

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-10-inch-Open-Top.../312387476

I purchased it and it fit perfectly between the refrigerator and automatic shift assembly.

I found various off the shelf organizer stuff, an empty small coffee can, a kitchen organizer tray, etc........ I sought out what I could make work.

Once assured this was my long term solution, I unbolted the carry handle and cut off the tag.

I am absolutely thrilled with this solution!
Pockets all over the place both inside and outside.
I can customize it inside however I want to by using purchased organizer pieces or empty containers from various products.
It may not be decorative but it scores big points on function!

Wow, blast from the past. Just to report, my center console has been in use 15 years now and no complaints (see previous post). Talk about a time warp. I can't believe it's been that long. I'm getting old.
