I think what he’s asking…

If you’re needing 70-up splined wiper shafts,
Can you use some from a different VW?

Because these are wear parts and are often worn,
Maybe the late Beetle or some other Bus parts can work?

Looked at some late bus wiper shafts, and the shafts are longer…

Maybe Beetle ones work?

Hate to use old ones if there’s some new parts possible..

Anybody ever nut this one?

Crickets…! Laughing

Wish i had a late beetle wiper motor lying around..

Anybody here have a beetle wiper motor handy?
A late one? 68 or 70 -up with splined shafts?
Throw a measure or two on for us?

Anybody who ever drives their early type 3 in the rain and wants to keep their windshield wipers from falling OFF(!) Shocked
Probably would want to know this as well..

Wink

If you're asking about the bronze pieces, I think the late (68-69) sleeves are the same (large diameter shafts). I don't know if bug parts are long enough. I think Nate said bus parts could be used though, but I have no idea for sure. I've used both late t-3 bushings and shafts before, and modified them to work on the earlier set up.
