Were all of the 1971 convertibles produced Super Beetles, or were some for Europe produced on a standard Beetle chassis? Looking at a convertible with a serial number that is 151, but is NOT a Super beetle chassis. Any help appreciated.

Hi Jim,
Does the number has 9 or 10 digits? 10 digits and the 151 followed by a 2, means 1971 model, otherwise it will be a 1961.

| The fourth digit is a 2, so it's a 1971. |
