The color of the material and door cards look really nice against that color.
Just don't forget to tuck the lower part of the plastic on the doors into the large spaces at the lower part of the door to allow any water coming into the top of the doors to drain back into the bottom of the doors.
The interior does look really good.

Hey Michael, It looks like you haven't glued in the rear seat aperture vinyl ? I hope you haven't glued down the carpet around the rear seat, as you will have to remove those parts of carpet around there again to install the vinyl pieces.

We have, you are just seeing the small part we didn’t cover. Not being professional upholsterers, we did not mitre cut and are going to simply cover it with a strip later.
Thanks for checking up on us Kev! How goes your project?

Sorry to hear that Kev. That’s a lot of rust!
Happy that you are working on it though.

Yes, our car is at least looking factory fresh.
That pic reminds me of this cutaway diagram:
Should be “done” by parade but I have heard nothing back from the organizers since submitting the application this year.

After what transpired last year I will most likely not bother with the parade again but I did submit my application for the concours on Sunday. If I get rejected (and I am assuming I will) I will just park where I did last year. Haven't heard anything but just applied yesterday. Did they respond quickly last year? I seem to remember decisions taking forever. Are you going to do Sunday as well? The selection of cars that showed up last year were incredible- that's definitely my favorite day. Sorry again about misdirecting you on windlace position- classic case of opening mouth and not engaging brain. _________________ RIP HBB (1984-2009)

Oh yeah, I can see why you might want to “Skip” that! Good luck on the concours!
I seem to recall thinking I was not in and then hearing really close to the date that I was.
Signed up for Sunday Meeting of the Marques and will be there with my son. So cool that he has taken an interest. So we should at least see you there!
Thanks for showing an interest in our car! _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0

Got the passenger side door card on. Seems a little wrinkly but hopefully will settle down with time.
Also placed in under layment and mats. Not sure about all the layers for the tunnel. There’s a thin abrasive layer, a thicker softer layer, and the mat itself. We dry fitted one possible order and its seems that it will have to be adhered to the the tunnel to get it to lie down. We just put the finished mat on for now.
We also know we need to pull the back mat under layment under further.
We almost put the seats in and went for a ride but I have had trouble with seats before and want to put these in once and for all. So we will wait for Luis to send back to wall mat.
Gotta tell you, it is starting to feel like a real car! _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0
