|
|
So while I was under my 91 Syncro this morning, I noticed this rogue sensor wire dangling above the front differential. Any ideas as to where this should plug into? I could not find a sensor that would be near reaching it. Thanks in advance (and ignore the crusty stuff going on down here).

Opened fine for me. But since Flickr has a sharable/embed BBcode, I fixed the OP's post.🍺 _________________ ~Kamz

Could be for the front locker indicator light. Usually tucked up out of the way as American syncro's did not come with front lockers, but the wire harness was the same for all locking syncros. _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia, stock (bought 1994)

thanks for fixing the photo!
and yes, my initial thought was maybe pre-wired for a front locker since I don't have a knob for the front. so I will just electric tape it up? |

Yes. All syncros that had lockers had the wiring for all 3 lockers, whether or not they were actually mechanically equipped. You're correct, just tape it up out if the way.
