The inside height comes in handy for Wedding Flower delivery sometimes.

Hauled enough wood to fill a 4x8 foot rack this weekend.

The pictured load isn't impressive, but I had just finished unloading about a thousand pounds of lighting and grip equipment:
Hardest working bus in the country. Hands down.

Lil P and 800 lbs of pellets. Still had no problem cruising 60 up the 6% grade climb home.

Loaded up with a whole lot of baltic birch ply to make my interior out of. A small scratch on the inside, but luckily I have some touch up paint. Bus sure drives differently with all that weight...

Thread revival because it's fun as hell to stuff a seven foot tree into my bus when the staff tells me it wont fit.
Driving out to the forest and cutting our own tree wasn't in the cards this year, does anybody do that in their VW?
See you on the road,

I used my '73 to get our inside Christmas tree just like that this year.
On Saturday, we'll go to our city's free red cedar harvest to cut down a tree to put in the front yard.
In our area, they are considered an invasive species and all over the place. So the city hosts an annual event where people can come chop down their own tree for free. We've used the Thing to haul it home the past couple years. Though now that there is a baby to worry about driving with and keeping warm, the Bus may have to do duty for this, too. _________________ Dave Cook

Yard sale shopping. Definitely would not have fed the cat castle in the bed of my truck.

WOW! Super nice WMP Leedy kit, the Ludwig floor tom matches the rest pretty well! Gorgeous nickel hardware and finish...
By the look of the lugs spacing, seems like a 24'' bass drum... is it? Do you happen to be the drummer, or the double bass player?
I'm sorry for the burst of enthusiasm, but my excitement at watching busses can only be surpassed by the sight of vintage drums... just imagine when one fits into the other
Nice bus by the way! |

Friends from out of state bought a house, but before they could move in the property got out of control.
So the bus became a landscaping truck for a day. _________________ -Ian

We ran out of vehicles at work during crunch time for a big project. So I went home and grabbed the Bus.
25 cans of paint, and two pallets worth of production supplies.
I had even more stuff in it on the way back, including a generator and 5 pieces of conduit. But it was too dark to get a photo.

400 lbs of pellets, child’s play for the bus. Just a preview of the work the bus is gonna be putting in in the coming weeks.
