my fuel sending unit is banging on the top of the tank when it is full. is it missing something? thanks

Yes, you probably are. Magura tank units had two forms of plastic buffers to keep them from hitting the tank. Since plastic does not last forever, many of these have failed. Not sure what can be done to replace them though. Early was a plastic ring around the main operating arm, later was a cup that faced upwards at the float itself.

thanks for your help. was hoping to find a stop similar to glove box stop shape that is fuel resistant.
