| Hello everyone. I have a 1980 air cooled Vanagon w/ California emissions. I am trying to replaced my broken distributor #039 905 205C but can not find a replacement anywhere. I have looked for Cardone 31-920 and Bosch #0237 022 009 online with no luck either. Can anyone point me in the direction for purchasing a used or rebuilt one? Or does anyone know where I could ship this one to have it rebuilt? Thanks |

I rebuild distributors but don't work on anything as new as a Vanagon.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CARDONE...... they are CRAP.
I've seen a few and they are worse than a 50 year old abused and wornout originl distributor.

Are they new or rebuilt?
If rebuilt I think they are done by Cardone.
Ask.

Bumping this for visibility, as I am also looking for a distributor for my 1980 aircooled CA van.
BusDepot is out of stock with no ETA for replacement.
Any tips on an alternate source, or reputable rebuilder? |
