500 is the cost just for material in 300m.
Dave will make them and back out his material cost. They will be in the 1400.00 range.
Also the 4340 is what erco’s were made from and the Finland are the same.
The Spade end is thicker on these. Good for drag racing. Thicker than any before. Still has travel in them but less than stock if that makes sense. _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

Looks like we are ordering 10 pieces of 300M, 5 sets.
They will be in the 1500.00 price range. If you want a set PM me. There won't be another run of these till all (4340 and 300M) are gone.
Still in the first operation on machining on the 4340. So depending on the time that hobbing, grinding and heat treating takes will depend on the availability.
We are guessing 4 months. _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

I’m confused. Aren’t you running an 091? Did Folts do the swing conversion on it? Last I heard he was only doing this for track only. |

002 5 speed.
Daniels will be completely done within a week. Car won’t be running for a couple months due to the body guy taking a while longer than expected.
I’ll post some pictures and a list of what we did to it inside, once it’s finished _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

The list of buyers is over 20 and that’s more than 1/2 the order. They will not have a lifetime guarantee. Like dave says you can break an anvil.
Never heard of the ones you mention but I’m not in the swing axle market. I upgraded to 091 with 930’s knowing a type 1 had its limits. So does a 091. I found that out 3000 miles ago. _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

Here is Dave's latest and greatest. He built a kit to install a Berg 5 in an early pan. The kit consists of a new nose cone, shift rods and hockey stick. The trick here is, Dave has two nose cones (late and early) which fit both his intermediate housing and Bergs housing. Dave is working on his Bus 5 speed which will fit both early and late cars.

You can call dave or message me, he is busy and has no time for the calls on these and would rather have me deal with them. _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

If you got put on a list for axles and dave hasn't called you its because he is busy, they have been done and the list is on the wall.
All standard 300m are sold out. There are a few 3" shorter 300m left.
There are about 10 sets of 4340 standard and the same 3" shorter.
He also has 2 sets of ERCO long axles that are not being made anymore. These are forged.
Call him if you want a set 909-923-5960 _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85
