Hey, new here. Not sure if this is the right place but currently I am building my 1972 super beetle with a Subaru ej22 from a 1997 legacy outback. Main reason is because my 1600 crapped metal chunks and I got the subaru and harness for 300 dollars, engine has 159k on it. I’ve done a lot of research on it but the harness just won’t show any signs of life no matter what I do. I have the main relay hard wired to the battery, the three main engine connectors plugged in, and the Igniton wire also on the positive side of the battery. Nothing no clicks, just silence. The engine ran before it was pulled. Any help would be appreciated. |

Have you attached the grounds? _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

I haven’t attached all the little grounds, but the main engine ground should be. |

Tomorrow I’ll attach everything, I just want to see any kinda life from this thing. The main relay power is the two red wires on top of the switch right? That’s what I have split off to the battery |

I’m not sure what to do, nothing works. When I plug everything in and put a test light in the main relay it will click but nothing else happens. Should I just cut my losses? Car was running when pulled what am I missing? other than the massive L on my head. |
