Hi forum

Just picked up a 72 squareback and I have a question. I am resetting the ride height and want to know the stock location of the spring plate and front arms.
I have tried a search or 2 to say the least but still can’t find it.
If anyone has pics of the stock location unsprung, that would be super.
Thank you

You might want to get a brown Bentley, as the settings are in it.

Chapter 7 in the brown Bentley says front lower torsion bar should be set at about 39 degrees for stock height.

Great thanks for that. Manual on way. Didn’t know if there was a reference mark for the rear.

Not unless the PO (Previous Owner) put some reference marks on it. The rear of the blue car in your photo above looks a little low, but the front is almost right (not lowered). I like them slightly lowered, but have 2 here that are stock height.

Thanks. Looks like previous guy has a mark on rear. Seems to cross the lower rear hole of the retaining plate.

The car was slammed with air shocks on it. First day I got it, I removed the air system and sold it back to the dude. Now the car is on blocks with parts coming.

He had 175/55 on front and 185/65 on rear. Moving the 185/65?to front and putting 195/65 on rear.
