Curious what is the white round object under the passenger side dash?

Crotch coolers! They were a back in the day aftermarket accessory that consist of plastic tubes that connect to holes drilled into the air box and then into the bulkhead. You control the air flow flipping them open and rotating them. They work great.

Might be a uni-vent installation. You can see another cap on the drivers side through the steering wheel.

There’s one up for sale in the classifieds

Interesting. Not seen these before, but I can see where they would be helpful.

I also noticed that the rear seat towers were removed and you added them back after. Is there any measurements that will help me correctly position them? All I have to go by is pictures that I've found online.

I will go to the shop Tuesday and measure one of the cars there, a 74, and take some pix. If you could PM me and remind me it’s more likely to happen Very Happy

Don't go out of your way. Just wondering if there's a method to properly positioning them. My plan was to attach the front of the hinge covers as well as the seat back and then the location should be obvious.

It’s no problem, I’m there all the time. Gives me something to do.
The critical thing is the spacing between your rear window so it will be able to drop on to the rubber bumpers on the hinge covers.

By the way, if you look at a 74, the rear seat towers are not exactly the same.
They were modified after 71. For 72 - 74 the top forward part of the towers are attached to the modified horizontal support.

I’ve put quite a few miles on it since completing the restoration. We drove it up to the nearby mountains today to take in the fall foliage.

She looks great. The color is so different with the outdoor lighting. Not as dark as I expected. You did a great job in such a short amount of time.

Thanks Marc. I aimed for a nice daily driver vs a show car. I’m pretty happy with the result.
