You could always save 50K on his other offering if you cant pony up for a fully restored conversion.

Wow! |
Steel melts at 2500 degrees, so technically any bus that is not currently being melted down to a liquid is solid.
But that particular bus, while technically being a solid, is actually a steaming pile of shit. To tell if such is a solid or liquid would require touching it, which I would highly recommend against.

That is not just a barndoor emblem, but an early cast aluminum barndoor emblem. There are only about a hundred buses known to exist that take that emblem. If my early bus didn't have one, I would be considering that one. _________________ .

I'd buy that one just for the wall if I had the spare clinks. _________________ 53 Hatch Barndoor

Wow Barndoor parts are pricy. Lind how can you identify it is a cast aluminum? Is it somewhere in this image?

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

look at the material thickness, and the roughness of the surface. I am no expert on cast barndoor emblems, but i do cook in a cast iron pan almost every day _________________ regards

And the two round bosses, adding extra heft where not noticed on the front-side. These may have been additional sprues for the farthest excursions of the mold. It resembles a big VW waffle iron.

if you google where Quebec is you will get a good idea of why it is rusted as much as it is. Aside from some Hollywood hyperbole, I would agree with others that running away as fast as you can would be a very good suggestion. |

They look like the ones I bought from vdouglu (ten foot doug) a few years back. Pretty good repros and they weren't cheap new. _________________ Andy
