I was digging through a container full of screws and ran across this one. I immediately recognized it as the set screw for the transmission coupler on a VW.
I have said that I know every nut and bolt on my bug. I was pretty proud of myself for knowing that.
Have you been able to recognize a VW part out of context as well?

They look like engine case dowel pins. The ones that align the two case halves. _________________ Joseph

Our local Vintage VW club of America used to have a Dinner before the Kelly Park show each year. There was a contest after the club business was completed that always had a few VW parts that were asked to be identified, it was a blast. |
