Just get the 40IDF kit from John at aircooled.net and pay him to go through them and be done with it.

Do it once and correctly the first time and it will save you days and weeks of frustration.

Ive been running 40IDFs in cars since 2001 and have hardly ever had to touch them after install.

When you buy the kit from air cooled.net they give you a choice of linkage. Don’t buy the redline linkage.

what is on it now?. 1976 2.0L flat four would have come with FI. One option that is being discussed lately is a Holley FI system that uses a throttle body and MAF like where a progressive carb would go. If you have a stock FI system you want to keep it and solve whatever is wrong with it. Sometimes it is nothing more than needing new FI fuel line and injector seals.

I ran the 34 ICT's for years on a stock 2.0L. Small carbs for the engine so just make sure the jetting is right. They limit the top-end performance on a 2L for sure but actually do really well.

If you have the extra money, definitely go for 40 Kadrons (Single barrel like the ICT's) or 40 Weber IDF's.... budget depending. And spend the extra money to have them set up in advance so it's as close to bolt-on as possible.

Is this the bus we are discussing in your gallery?, looks like IDF clones on there now, what's the issue? (aside from that EMPI logo).
