It took me some time but body prep on fender is complete.
I can now move on to high build primer.

what you see here is a small skin of metal glaze over epoxy. this should guaranty a very smooth finish with no flaw when painted.

the fender are now primed, so next step is to block sand these with 320 grit paper.

I do not know yet if I will have it on the road by winter. Smile
I want to re-assemble stuff correctly.

the good thing is that beam and all drive train component were restored 2 years ago.

should be straight forwrard.

I will post soon when the fender are fully painted.

now I can move on to the final stage with epoxy sealer and single stage paint.

My God man! Those are awesome!

The quarter panels are pretty impressive as well! The reflection in them has no distortion!

thanks yeah the prep of those fender give me good challenge considering my short experience in restoration Smile
if I don't screw the paint job I should get a very slick result.

As for the panels, I will just need to remove the slight orange peel with cut and buff. I will do that when the fenders are complete and prior to re-assemble the parts.

I am currently working on the smaller parts right and repaired the left turn signal that was full of bondo.

yeah they are both original to the car, maybe the round one is just left over from 55 production when bullet were introduced.

Round hole is 1955-56. Triangle 1957-up.
Same drain holes were on early Ghias and type 2s.
