Couple random photos I took thus far in the build
Got a good deal on this so I'm going to use the glass because it has defrost
|
I doubt the heated window will work. Most of the time, window cleaning products wipe off the layer for electricity to pass are removed.
Just a heads up that it might not work (electrically).
You might want to look into removing the rubber bushings, as the car is probably bouncing on them when the car hits the bumps. |

Any quick way to see if the defrost is working? I'll probably put it in regardless because I have all new rubber for the windows.
The rubber bump stops are removed |

Very nice progress with that interior!
Does the dampening mat help alot to reduce cabin noise? |
I haven't been in another type 3 to compare to, but I know my cabin is very quiet. I have the idle set around 1000rpms and I can't hear the engine at stop lights. I live in the city so there's a good bit of ambient noise, but it's extremely quiet in the car. |

Very nice, great job. Surprised at the little to no rust for it being around all that snow. |
Thank you! And I agree, I was shocked at how decent it was. Had the windshield not leaked water in for years it would've damn near rust free. |

Thanks! I adjusted the carbs a little today and tinkered with a few things. He runs so good. Took the highway to work and was easily cruising at 65 |

Agreed, looks good.
As for testing the rear window heater grid, use an ohm meter from the 2 electrical connections. See what you get. Most likely the meter reading won't change because of an open circuit. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
