I found the rivets on McMaster Carr, they are nickel plated brass just like OG. So now to straighten out my warped door map pockets

I wet them down and used paint sticks with wood screws to flatten them out. Hopefully they will dry flat. Next will be to clamp the bottoms flat with a piece of wood inside the pocket.

I used a new razor blade and a straight edge. Worked good until i slipped and cut the door panel above the opening

Turned out pretty good. Rivets are perfect size with a washer on the backside.
My neighbor told me to “shellac” the pockets. He’s old school. I coated them with the same Minwax satin clear that i used for my wood slats.

It’s a close fit with the pockets and the door panel. There really isnt any room for anything to fall out of the bottom
