I found the rivets on McMaster Carr, they are nickel plated brass just like OG. So now to straighten out my warped door map pockets
I wet them down and used paint sticks with wood screws to flatten them out. Hopefully they will dry flat. Next will be to clamp the bottoms flat with a piece of wood inside the pocket. |

Old crusty original door panels that came with my truck
I used a new razor blade and a straight edge. Worked good until i slipped and cut the door panel above the opening
Turned out pretty good. Rivets are perfect size with a washer on the backside.
My neighbor told me to “shellac” the pockets. He’s old school. I coated them with the same Minwax satin clear that i used for my wood slats.

It’s a close fit with the pockets and the door panel. There really isnt any room for anything to fall out of the bottom |

I think he means are the cut holes the same size as the pockets/tub part _________________ 70 early bay
