What a beautiful few days we had in the Santa Fe National Forest, at a campground up above Pecos, NM. Almost deserted of people, camped right along the stream, hiking trails directly into the Pecos Wilderness; warm days and cool nights were perfect. A 3/4 moon, but still lots of stars and planets at night; made for some neat nighttime pics.
Looking for other vanatics that would like to camp.

It came from the PO, and it must have been fabbed by the PPO.
It has two swing-outs, and I modified it to reduce the amount of "things" off the back until I need them.
This is how it came when I first got Rosie.
I had a neighbor who welds help me modify it to remove a lot of the "clutter" messing up the pure, clean lines of the Vanagon
This is how I run her most of the time (the short horizontal square tubing added by my neighbor to hold a bike rack). Haven't felt it necessary to carry a second spare yet.
And I am able to replace pieces back on when I need them. My neighbor welded up a bike rack that can insert into the existing, permanently placed, square steel bar. (I can also replace the steel carrying shelf onto the right side swing out when needed.)
