Auto defrost is not sophisticated. It’s a timer circuit which periodically turns your freezer off for a set time. That’s it |
not all, some also use heaters.some do like a heat pump too., just a switching valve.but yes the defrost is on a timer and thats the main issue when a defrost isant working or is working too much. kinda like the timer in a washer machine.. |

I struggled with where to post this cuz it's just plain hilarious, not a gripe.
1. ]
I recently bought the wife a 2002 Chrysler Voyager for cheap. Came with grinding brakes ... pads, shoes, cylinders. No prob.
My Horrible Fright 3ton jack won't fit under suspension so I get out the factory scissor lift to raise it a little on jack points. I place it on ground & turn by hand to raise it to the seam under body. Then grab folding lever-socket thingy & go to put on scissor jack.
Wife says, " here ... I dood it " as she grabs it. So I help her down onto cardboard ( she's had 2 major spine surgeries ). She lines up the socket lever thingy & starts pumping the handle part up & down.
I stare in amazement & let her "help" for about 15 or 20 pumps. She stops, looks up at me in total confusion. "It no go up" she says.
I cannot hold it in any longer ... I literally burst out laffing. Oh geez, tears rolled down my face. I explained that this jack operates like the levellers on the RV.
In her defense we had only used small & large trolly jacks up to that point.
2. ]
We bought oil & filter for mini van. Also bought a couple extra quarts just to have on hand. I work stoopid long hours for an A/C company & won't get to it till the next Saturday. Wife tells me oil on dipstick is low.
Bless her cuz she is not a "key turner".
She lets me know rite away if a lite comes on, blinkers are too fast, or a funny noise occurs.
So we go out to van, get hood up, & she unscrews filler cap. She turns to me with quart in hand & says "you have got to hear how my day went". She starts into this long rant & I just want to withdraw into my shell. She grabs the cap on quart & I say "WAIT babe, you gotta shake that first" !
She continues telling me about her troubled day as she stands there shaking the quart of oil.
Once again I caint hold the laffter in. She sees the look on my face & gets fake mad. She feigns attitude but laffs too.
Perhaps I AM AN A$$HOLE which she tells regularly with a glint in her eye.
She enjoys a good "gotcha" & we go back and forth with stuff like this.
Stay safe ... laff a lot.

Mrs. Cusser "feels the need" to tell me every detail about the horse and the dog, and about her friends (that I don't know) who have either a horse or a dog, and the kids of those friends (that I don't know) who have either a horse or a dog......
If I ask a question that can be answered with "yes" or "no", her response is longer than War and Peace. I've actually asked several times for the Reader's Digest version.

Back when she was home with the 3 rug rats all day, I was the first adult she got to talk to later in the day. She had been saving the yapping all day waiting for me to get home . _________________ My cut in half and rebuild thread

I think my wife is related to y'alls. Detail when I ask a yes/no and can't wait for me to walk in the door to start reliving the day. I finally asked her to give me 5 minutes when I walk in the door so it's not quite as bad.

Take the 5 minutes before you walk in the door. Then take the beat down like a good partner.
That way , you end up with a supermodel wife with a big paycheck who sends the HVAC GUY home in the middle of winter because she found the furnace starter board fir $50 cheaper on the internet.

Just skimmed through most of this thread - extremely entertaining and very relatable. Sorry I hadn't come across it sooner.

If it was a reality show - you'd say it was faked/scripted !!!

you just cant make this shit up!!! like...I took my wife to biloxi Miss last week. stayed at Harras casino. went out for dinner at a nice place at the beach, she had grilled shrimp,I had grilled mahi. she gave me one of her shrimps, taste this this is awesome!!!! so I tasted her shrimp...yup thats blackened shrimp alright!! she hates blackened...she has never had blackened... she now loves blackened.I almost always get blackened fish. then after a few more beers 4 her we did some walking and then headed back to the casino for some gambling...well I let her do the gamnbling as I couldent make heads ortails of those machines. dam if she didnt win...so I then took her to neworleans the next day and bought me a car.....she vowed to never gamble again...witch is good as she only won 32 cents. the car I paid for. of coarse I probably shouldent tell you how much that 32 cents cost to win....so i wont. but needless to say...she wont do that again. and the car I bought...#243 of 1264 made. possiably the higest millage one of them out there,,and fucking nasty. but it is wicked.and she likes it. ( if I get it running ) |

If you men are trying understand women, you WILL have a long wait.
Men are creatures of small needs. Women are NOT. NOT! If you can imagine a world without women, you will have a lot more men sleeping w/ other men.
It will Brokeback Mountain-
Just be thankful God gave us women. It could have been worse. |

Not trying to understand women, trying to help each other when dealing with women's decisions. Has nothing to do with your nightmares. _________________ nothing |

I suppose to some men, the women are the ones dictating their own state of mind. Men needing helping from other men dealing w/ women??
I will just tell you - you are on your own mostly..when it comes to women. A lot of women are like that coz they were raised by ...a man - their father. |

March 3 & 4 we attended two wedding receptions and two dinners for my nephew. Mrs. Cusser and I and several of my extended family (and others) came down with Covid on March 6, despite vaccinations, home test result positive.
March 8 Mrs. Cusser had the doctor call me, and I was somewhat improved, so he declined to prescribe any medicine for me. Well, since Friday, Mrs. Cusser has been significantly more congested and coughing than I, so - of course - it's my fault that the doctor did not send any medicine for me. When I asked her why she didn't talk to the doctor about herself, she replied that she assumed that he wouldn't give her any medicine, because he hadn't prescribed any for ME !!!

Many moons ago I came to the realization 99.99% of real women (not the new kind)
Are the same with , different names. I have found, pretending not to hear is a powerful tool
To be clear, not all, can't understand normal things.. . |
