Ok bought a stock belt ref: my last post too freakin big the only missing part is ….could the crank pulley be small ? Pan on buggy was a 1965 and the guy I bought it from bought a crate engine
If he used a 1965 pulley is it smaller diameter? This is nuts |

Appears OP is asking if the crank pulley of a 6 V engine, either a 1200 cc 40 hp or a 1300 cc 50 hp has a smaller diameter than that of the 12 V engines (1500 cc+). And I think they are smaller- not much- maybe 1/4" diameter. I don't think I have a 6 V pulley in basement to measure.
Paulinpa- if you measure the diameter of your current "small" pulley, I'll measure the diameter of a 12 V engine'd pulley which I do have. 6 V pulley should be around 6 1/2"; 12 V about 6 3/4" " or 7". A power pulley is much smaller, approx. 5 3/4". |
