I guess that must be the case.
The 15x5 and 15x7 that I wanted were also listed.
When I called to order, I was told, "No longer available."
Can't wait to see them on your buggy. |

My '61 F100 has US Mag slot wheels that I put on in 1978. Same wheel as these, but in 15 x 8 with 5 x 5.5" lug pattern. Still on the truck 43 years later.

Richard, I need your 100mph hairpin U-turn sign for the turnaround at the end of the street where I live. And matthewl, your slots are soo shiney!! I too like the old slotted mag style wheels:
But, I fell totally in love with these:

Found these on ebay. Ok for the price but the housings are real thin replacement stuff. And the chrome could be better. But they will look good until I can get some German ones chromed.

So I found a way to hopefully protect Bruce's signature on the dash. I found a two part catalyst spray paint sold by Eastwood. It's a matte finish and sprayed well. I did get a little bit to much in one of the curve parts of the dash but should clear up when it is fully dry.
The corner where I built up some , but it is still wet in the photo. _________________ Check out all the Air-cooled fun on my YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCl9IVR1svnDmH1i6yQ4_o1Q?view_as=subscriber |

Well after the Eastwood paint dried on the dash, I see no reaction with the sharpie ink. And the milky area's dried clear.
On another note CB Performance said some of my engine parts are on the way. Real excited to see these, they should be some high quality stuff. May make a separate thread for the motor when I start that. _________________ Check out all the Air-cooled fun on my YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCl9IVR1svnDmH1i6yQ4_o1Q?view_as=subscriber |

Well I've been collecting parts while I still struggle to get the rail done lol. Went to BugJam and amazingly found the seats I really wanted. Porsche 914 seats for $20. Of course they need to be recovered, but I was planning on getting orange plaid covers anyway so it's all good.
Other things I have collected are parts for the motor. Which has gone down the rabbit hole LOL.
Originally I was planning a simple but big single port with kads. I actually had parts on order and then I seen CB Performance has a flanged crank for $400.
Well $400 turns into a $1000 extra real quick lol. But I plan on doing this once so why not. I will probably do a separate build thread on the motor, but will give a run down here of what I got so far.
86mm CB flanged crank
5.5" H beam rods CB
CB aluminum case with 3.5mm raised deck
CB 2255 cam and lifters
CB Panchito heads with CNC chambers
92mm AA forged thick wall piston and cylinders
New 44 Webers on CB type three intakes
Berg welded fan
Berg linkage
CB black box
CB distributor and dry coil
CB FF oil pump
CB 1.4 rockers
CB aluminum push rod tubes
So should make like 2286cc and hopefully be a cool running and reliable motor. _________________ Check out all the Air-cooled fun on my YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCl9IVR1svnDmH1i6yQ4_o1Q?view_as=subscriber |

Exhaust parts are starting to come in. Will be my own design, but will have to get the body on a chassis and a dummy motor on it to start making it.

Found a part that I did not think would be that difficult. A early model steering column. Been surprised how much people are asking for these things, was almost about to just get a tilt hot rod steering column. But was at a good friends house dropping off some parts and he asked if needed anything and sure enough he had one.
Next I got the body off the chassis. Yes it's not the best way to lift the body off, but it's what I have LOL.
My goal is to drive this manx by the end of the year. So I better get to work. _________________ Check out all the Air-cooled fun on my YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCl9IVR1svnDmH1i6yQ4_o1Q?view_as=subscriber |

Got some work done today. Removed the transmission and drivers side pan. Someone put new pans in this chassis, but they were not correctly done and there is some rust spots to fix.

Went to the bug bash at Quaker steak and lube Sunday and found this Berg shifter.
Should work good in the manx.
Here's a video of the show for anyone that could not go.

Today I got the other pan off and swapped the beam over to one that has adjusters and disc brakes ( plus it rolls better than the locked up drums LOL).

Got some parts from Wolfsburg west today. Bottom frame head plate and the rear pan supports. So hopefully some time next week I can get back to work on the chassis.

Well I decided to buy one more gauge for the dash. So the speedo has the tach built in, and then fuel level, oil pressure and boost gauge
Since it is raining and cold out all this week. I will switch off on the chassis work and place the gauges in the dash. Hopefully I get them placed right, will have to live with it forever lol. _________________ Check out all the Air-cooled fun on my YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCl9IVR1svnDmH1i6yQ4_o1Q?view_as=subscriber |

Well I got my rubber top gaskets for the IDF's today, from Italy. Real fast shipping from the gentleman, he sells on eBay also and that is where I got them.
Going to mark out the dash this week end and drill the holes for the gauges Hopefully I don't mess it up lol. _________________ Check out all the Air-cooled fun on my YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCl9IVR1svnDmH1i6yQ4_o1Q?view_as=subscriber |
