The "port" on front of passenger seat is for the engine block heater controller/timer. I have a standard Sweden DOKA with this as well. There was also a dash mounted controller which server to track time & possibly mileage?
Mine appears to have been used as a forest service vehicle.
Your engine may have the block heater or might have the Webasto gas heater (mine had both).
Been trying to find the appropriate timer to plug into that port to no avail.
Found the cable tho, Biltema sells them thru the UK.
Also found DEFA 801 AC cable on fleabay, for 220VAC.
Great vehicles.

If you want to restore the gate latches to black, don't sand blast. Chemical strip the paint. It's more than likely the gate hardware is zinc plated and blasting will remove a lot of that if not all of it.

Dang looks like slider windows were taken out ?? The horrors ! That really sucks.
