Can the hardware on the front seats be easily switched so that a passenger seat can move to the driver side and viceversa and still retain original lever positioning?

Yes, but without disassembly and switching the cushions the controls will be on the aisle side of the seat.

Thanks. So I'd need to swap seat bases? I haven't pulled a seat yet to look, is it impractical/impossible to leave the bottom/back as-is and change the controls (slide and tilt)?

Undo the big rings and move the foam over
It isn’t hard

Mine are swapped, but retained the original lever positions...mental note that evrything is backward.

My Town and Country Stow and go seats are mounted with adjustments to the aisle, I intentionally did so and prefer it actually, as you slide in and out nothing catches on your clothing.

I've done a ton of messing around with the seats and often put the PS seat behind the wheel so I can drive when working on the correct seat for driving. It fits and works fine, but I think your question is can the release levers on the PS be changed to be in the same position they are on the DS. Yes. However, the slide release will have the handle going backwards instead of forwards. You can remove the handle, heat the rod and rebend it and put the handle back on. Can't remember, but you may have to dremel some of the seat base to make a useable hole for it to work. I can't imagine, they would have two different dies to stamp the metal base, but check it out by just looking.

I have ground off the tab which prevents the seat from going in backwards as well as adding more position slots so the seat can be secure farther back than stock. Also ground a channel in these pedestal rails so the seat can go like this:

And fully reclined.
