started the rear half sanding process- these are the before shots and the undereds all tarped over

this is how the luggage rack turned out- chunky result from driveway spray gun- thinking of rolling the rear section

What did you use to apply the paint? When I did the top on our 87 Westy I used a foam roller.

Nice, just did our 76's a couple weeks ago too and tested it out this past weekend camping in downpour conditions. We used Pre Kote primer and top coat paint by Interlux and sandpaper from 60 to 320 grit and applied it with a roller (not foam).

the rustoleum says uv protection- i ended up just brushing the rear section-

I'm pretty sure when I did my 79's top back in the 80's with marine paint that I just brushed it on.
