Now we have more confidence following the five year restoration and the Subaru conversion, we took off into the Yorkshire Dales to our go-to place, a village called Dent.
The bus drove really well covering 252 miles on £40 worth of fuel, the only issue which did crop up was the left hand brake drum caught on the backplate now and again. Easy fix I hope.

Looks amazing! Great pictures and looks like a cool trip.
Love Dentdale, I’m guessing the Sun Inn is still there?

The Sun was closed last weekend but The George is doing well, its now the Dent Brewery Tap and offers a really nice selection of beers, wine and food.

We enjoyed the weekend relaxing in superb surroundings!

Been out and about this past weekend, you've got to make the most of time off work so we met up with friends down in The Cotswolds.
Lovely part of the UK.

One thing which has shown up is the age of the dampers, on the front we have KYB Gas - Adjust and the rear, I think Boge.

What no better a reason than to fit a set up Koni Classic Adjustable's all round, 80-2110 front and 80-2220 rear.
We have 3/4 turn on the front with 1 turn rear for now..

So the last update I shared was the addition of the Koni dampers, what an improvement they have made, worlds apart from the previous set up. I'm pleased I made the swap!

A trip into Yorkshire proved the settings are nice and suite or needs and a four day road trip was an ideal way to test them out!

First stop, a place called Bolton Abbey set on the banks of The River Wharfe, stunning!

Really great to see those pictures!
I went to school in Skipton, I’m sure you drove through. It’s a beautiful area and perfect for exploring in a camper, Upper Wharfedale is stunning.
Thanks for sharing and safe travels.

Thanks, glad you liked them!

We haven't explored Skipton fully yet but we love the surrounding area's and would love to live out that way in the coming years, it is indeed a beautiful area but we hope to visit Scotland next year & that may sway us, what we have seen is also beautiful.

Thanks again & safe travels to you too!

Time has flown by and September was the last time I used Major, bad stomach which took ages to clear didnt help, however, he was comfy warm in the garage, we slept in him Christmas day & boxing day nights.

Whilst we had some downtime we finalised our Scottish road trip, 3 weeks exploring & the planning rekindled the flame.

We took Major for his MOT test and he passed on most things except the right hand rear brake efficiency.

OK, upon investigation we found the problem, the seal had blown out on the hub letting grease past thus contaminating the shoes.

Its all hopefully sorted now and we have an mot certificate issued. I need to do a thorough road test shortly and check again.

In the meantime I have a set of bumper over riders which I wanted to fit

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Some fettling on the gaps front and rear to fit reproduction bumpers, fresh satin black paint & they look rather good!

What they do show up is how bad the paint on the rear bumper was after reacting with something or other Sad

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Outstanding is a new windscreen seal which perished and cracked 18 months after fitting.
