Any trick to getting the heater cables to rear footwell through the 2 tubes? I seem to be hitting a wall somewhere. Tried a wire hanger with drill to clean out grease and managed to get the hanger wire through to the end once but can’t get cables through. I don’t want to force them and they wind up getting stuck. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle |

I have run into something similar - seems like there is a spot on the inside of the tubes that hangs me up...what I have done in the past is take some needle nose pliers and bend a small 'u' in the end of the wire to help it ride over any snags. Once thru, just straighten the wire back out.
Hope that helps |

It came with the cables already bent like a little hook if that’s what you’re referring to by u shape? But they’re still getting hung up somewhere. Also if anyone has pictures of where the ends hook into. I do have both y shaped tubes with the holes in them coming off the channels but seems there’s something else missing when it comes to connecting the cables once they come out of the tubes welded to the floors. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle |
