Hello All,
I am starting to install the carpet in my 1973 Super Beetle Convertible and am assuming the front center seat humps are bolted-in after the carper is installed. I can not find any pictures or posts about this.

Ah, well this is my first Beetle rebuild and my humps were bolted onto the new pans that were installed probably 15 years ago. Also, my new carpet kit is a solid piece of carpet where the humps go. Fun fun  |

Go to the Bug - Super Beetle gallery and put the word carpet in the search box. Bunch of pictures of carpeted pedestal areas to help you orient yourself how it should look.

I'm starting to work on the interior of my '73 Super Beetle. This is what it looks like with the passenger seat removed. I don't think my carpet is original, but judging by the dirt it is 20 years old. The carpet that is there is made in two sections, one in front of the seat pedestal and one behind.

If your vert is anything like my 1974 Sedan, then you’ll have several pieces that butt against the pedestal.
