Hi, I'm curious to know what of this dash is original and what has been modified. And the knob on the right, between the clock and right glove box, what is it for? It is a December 1950 beetle.

see also my answer to your wiring thread - basically that whole second pod is not what would have been fitted originally.
there's a white button by your right knee. not sure what the white shape to the right of it is and the red switch under the dash - non-factory
the fuel gauge, ashtray and st christopher medal are 50's accessories as is the glove box door (usually fitted in pairs)
