Heyo pop-top owners..

In the later-style pop tops, there is an aluminum channel which the pop top wraps under that holds the tent to the body of the van (opposing the one on the fiberglass pop-top itself).

Does that just sit directly on the metal, or is there any type of gasket/water-barrier there?

Mine is right on the paint except there is a small dab of putty where the vertical bends are for the humps. The putty is at the inside corner of the bend to give a better seal I guess.
