Lose the 1835. Unless you have the thick walled
cylinders you'll warp the slip-ins in a hurry with a turbo,
especially in a bus.
Start off with a fresh engine. Lose the 92's and get
some 90.5"s (1776) they'll fit in the same case, they handle
the heat from a turbo much better. Is the case full flowed?
What's the compression? What are you looking performance wise
to get out of it?
Only consider a turbo if the engine, tranny and brakes
are up for it. It's not a good idea to strap a turbo to a motor
with ? miles and wear. IMHO

just boost what you got op, you don't need forged this and titanium that.
do your own research, don't just go off of internet opinions and don't afraid to try.
aside from that find a small turbo, I actually think the old tdoe4's work good. I had one running 13lbs ona stock 1600 and didn't have to over rev it to get it there _________________ Forced induction can overcome a lot of obsticles that gets in it's way

You CAN turbo the motor you have now but if you have the time and budget, installing a set of thick wall cylinders would be a good idea.
What is the compression ratio of the engine now? That may need to be adjusted before boosting the engine.
Also, are you planning on a draw through system or blow through system? _________________ www.LoCashRacing.org

The OP hasn't been on the forums since 2010.
Why drag up an 11year old thread and comment on it?
Let alone making suggestions on improving an 1835 from 11 years ago. _________________ I have learned over the years.

Yes, it got 50mpg, still going after 100k miles, ran ice cold and ran a 11.99 in the quarter. All tuned by reading the spark plugs. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far
