did you have to trim the trim anywhere? i see the slots and assume you have the Grumpy's trim kit? i havent installed mine yet but it seems to be a little long on the cargo door side. did you cut and polish? what did you use to cut?

looks great. Ill update my thread soon, ive been working on other projects.

thank you!

The trim is from grumpys and it didn't need any trimming. It fit perfectly out of the box which was a nice surprise.

I think I may have missed my window for painting with the cold weather coming in

Does this mean you are going to paint it now or is it just to tide it over until the weather warms up? Either way it looks great 😊😎

Next up was the brackets for the rear seat armrests. I'm flying totally blind on this one, using pictures I found here on thesamba as reference. Here's what I'm working off of:

(if anyone has the measurement of that arrow it would be much appreciated)

Im still working on my conversion but havent had the time to update the thread. what is the measurement in the red arrow? and how high above the finished floor did you put the middle seat armrest?

thank you sir. Paint looks good, keep it up!

Until it gets warm enough to finish the paint I'm building a new workshop:

I somehow acquired 3 more split window buses in the past month so I'll need the space.

I'm going to start new threads on at least one of them later this week, if I can find some time.

That shop will be a game changer and will make it so much easier to work on projects. Now, no more new projects! I have some projects that have been unfinished for twenty years! DON'T FILL UP THAT SPACE

Bus is looking great!

i too love the dove blue. my color is off compared to the OG door, but it looks good enough for me.

what did you do for the white? L87 Pearl White? I went with Arctic.

there was an original all Dove Blue at the Prado Show a couple years ago. Not a standard color for deluxe but was available as a special order, according to Samba threads. I think there is a pic of a two tone deluxe on the Dove Blue thread.

Good job man! Hillbilly paint booths rock. What are you doing for interior and headliner?

Looking awesome Eddie. Are you going to bring it to the Transporterfest so we can see it up close?

Thanks! I'm thinking about it. it might not have all the windows in but who needs windows?! I'm going to have to fix all the runs and tape bleed before I can comfortably present it though Very Happy

Thanks. Its Pearl White and Dove Blue. I couldn't be happier with the color combination.

I've spent a ton of time doing touch ups and color sanding. I finally started putting some trim on.

The finish is amazing. I can't believe how good it came out.
