This is Hudson. He is named after the grass landing strip he was parked at, Hudson River Landing. Thats Hudson river Georgia, not NY.
I got this one back in 1995 for some parts, and then set it out in the woods. Decided two years ago that its an excellent candidate for refreshing. Pulled him out of the woods to let the sun dry it out.
Decided to go fetch him a few weeks ago and carry him back up north. Found the CB engine that came out of it as well. That and some spare trannys got carried home too.
Once home, cleaned it out and pressure washed all the leaves and nests out of it.
The rot is mainly contained to the front and cargo floors due to the years of leaves and mice piss. There is a couple typical spots of rot on the body, but the main frame structure and beams are rot free. Jackpoints, swing arms, spindles, all damage free. And no collision damage anywhere.
No plans for this guy yet. Just a nice dry place to hide for another ten years maybe.
And the interior I scored a couple weeks ago will go in him nicely. Even though its not vind a camper.
Based on what people are asking for an old rusty beat up bus these days, all of a sudden my old junk has value. Right now its value is sitting in my basement.
Man I need to build a shop. Just not at this years lumber prices. _________________ You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer. Zappa

Shhhhhh. I've been using him to the wife as an example. "Honey, it's only 3 cars in the yard. BTW, want to road trip over to Wtfd to see Jay? He brought home a new bus..." I will give her this though, we are house hunting in earnest and each place she finds, she's making sure that the bus can come, too.

I like the way you think . Of course, between the stupid prices on lumber and the even more stupid increase in the house market the last 6 months, I might looking more like...
