Does anyone know how to find out the original exact paint color for a 63 beetle? Tried using vin checking sites but did not find anything useful

you can't get it from the vin. you can order a birth certificate : https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=398

Or, you can just look in various places and find it. Post a picture of the dash backside. There's never been an original color I (and several others here) can't ascertain unless the body has been acid dipped and free of ALL paint.
