I have found a car local to me that I may be able to source the bumpers from, this is a 69 convertible, could I make the bumpers work on my 63? I'm hoping so since I have the later rear fenders.... Any input appreciated

A 69 and a 63 would take the same style bumpers, but your car has 72-74 lower rear fenders that are different due to the larger fat bumpers that do not wrap around all the way to the wheel wells.

Possibly the right answer in these threads

In particular these photos will show you the difference between pre and post '67 bumper.

I suggest you get those bumpers and also anything else that's good off that car and later you can find the correct rear corners. The front bumpers and the rest of the rear bumpers will fit on your car. Even the corners will fit, but they'd be short behind the rear wheel arch.

^ Great info Nicholas Thank you!

I called and spoke with glass-action.com and I think I'm going to go with the fiberglass bumpers, 1972+

I think it makes the most sense for this project. The price is right and even shipping to Canada wasn't to bad as they are 8lbs each.

I need interior door panels, unfortunately cip1 only stocks 1964+, my coupe is a 63.

Can I make these work, or are they significantly different ?
