I might paint them with rubberized undercoating after I bang out the dents and dings. Or fab some new ones out of flat steel. We'll see.

Nice! Yeah, I've thought about doing something in the bodyline/valley to break up the wall-o-beige but black might be too much contrast. A stripe of undercoating along the bottom edge will likely happen at some point though. There's only one small spot at the base of the passenger side b-pillar that has any real rust so the more I can do to protect the rest, the better it'll be down the road.

| I’m not a huge fan of the black lower section, but I’m thinking this would look sweet with the area between/around the windows blacked out. |

First time poster long time reader…. 1982 Aircooled 2.0 Covid project has been keeping me busy since June 2020. PO deferred maintenance but that is hopefully behind us and we have been enjoying the van adventuring in Western Canada.
Shout out to all the posters and mods. The Samba really was a huge assist getting this beast to a point of reliability and usability
Beige does grow on you!
