When i Bought my 56 Vert a long time ago, i also bought a 56 limousine from a Junkyard. Changed oil and started it when i got home, Handbrake only mae the test drive short. The plan was to pick pars from it. But a bought a pristine 58 for 200£ that i took all tinware from. So the 56 was standin in my garde fro some years befor i pu it in storage. Lon story shot sisn it was from a junkyeard you where not supposed to get it registred and back on the road. But during Corona lockdow i did som research, and foun som old document's. and sent the int to the Swedish "DVLA", and it was OK to get on the road again. Sp may thsi year i started to repair it, since the Vert tok 14 years, and im getting old i needed to speed up teh project. sp teh goal was to get it safe and do some repairs like they did in the seventies::
This is what i brought home.
some tyres and an oil change and i could take a test drive
Sixties car key's was in the car
Fast forward to month of May 2021
Homegrown barndoor
Some water and it looked much better.
Thougt there was a small hole under the battery I was wrong.
Seventies quickfix repair
The it was rust at the usual places.
Quick fix.
Ok fixed th hole under the battery
The engine had rusted together with the gear box, so it was removed as one unit.
Had to pull it off, the splines.
New brakeparts and wheel bearings all around
Had an old 58 engine to put in instead of the other 58 engine that came with the car (so not a number matching car)
Monday 13 September, it was time for the BIG MOT inspection.
It worked out Ok.
A week later and i got the numberplates, so now i can drive it legaly for the first time since the seventies.. |

My bad Remember now.
Almost ten years ago since I sold it to Wolfparts so he could make some slot's in another one nicer one
Since I screwed up the repair of the rusted original, Used the internal parts on the "new" though.
