I have been asked to assist in selling off a 1967 convertible. It will be parted and since there was only about 8000 or so made, how much should I ask for the entire set of seats. Both front and rear need upholstery but the frames are in great shape. Thanks. |

Pictures would help to determine the price for what's being offered. Most "original" '67 convertible seats have been thrashed and hastily recovered many times over in the past decades.. The only unique variable besides the factory '67 upholstery itself would be the early vs. late style front seat back release catch.
"need upholstery" is vague in your description, and is subjective for every buyer / seller in this instance. For the 1967 Convertible - if it's "67 only" $$ you're fishing for - the upholstery needs to be the original material, even WITH some rips and tears! Especially things like the rear seat back fiber-board. Otherwise the frame bones are pretty much the same as other mid 60's verts, and priced accordingly. _________________ 1967 VW Convertible, owned /driven /pampered for 34 years.

vwoldbug, The front seats are the same for 1967 Sedans and Convertibles.
The rear seats are different between Sedan / Convertible - and also for other years, not just '67. _________________ 1967 VW Convertible, owned /driven /pampered for 34 years.

Front seats on a 67 convertible have vents placed on the bottom of the upper cushion, but they are hidden from view unless you really look for them. |
