Hmmm...., there's a ton of spot welds all along where it meets the floor and seat stand, and a bunch more as well as some MIG beads where it meets the A & B pillars. At least that's how VW did it, whoever installed those could have done almost anything.
How's the rest of the door gaps front, back and along the top?, a little door tweaking would be a whole lot less work. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

If I remember correctly, to adjust the areas that you're pointing out you'll need to separate the inside and outside of the dog legs and re-weld them.
