Anyone cutting up a bay ?
I'm searching for driver and passenger under seat box panels for a 69 bay

this is my first 60s. In the past I had a 74 but only ever changed the engine myself... Panel beating is a new skill I'm yet to acquire. Geez I don't even own a welder but did some welding many years ago. (EDIT) Bought a MIG / TIG welder this week & a plasma cutter !
I cut a section of rust out today & will use a tradies tile profile tool to get the curvature ( as per image )

When I bought the van not only are the seats missing but there's nothing there at all.. as seen below (more like unseen as there's simply a void.

Maybe I should purchase a couple of the new panels (as per image below) $300AU each !

[EDIT] -Wow after looking around I found the Old Panels !! They been butchered though, as in the wheel well panels have been cut into several long pieces.

I'm not sure if these are salvageable but I guess I could try welding them yes but am worried it might not pass road certification as seat belts and seats need to be professionally fastened / welded. Maybe I could take on this task after I have a go at welding a few other panels first starting out with baby steps... One weld after the other.

NOTE: I'm not so sure I'll add the original bulkheads as I'm thinking of incorporating swivel seats.
Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

Being that the seats were removed and the seat box area is gone... I was worried about the VIN.

I found the VIN number today Smile
