The left side was much the same as the right, rear corner rusted out and beat up and full of bog. Vents were bent, twisted and split. Off it comes...

The front section of the left wheel arch was hacked open and was caved in. Photo doesn't show it very well. Was lucky enough to get an original section to repair this... Still needs to be finished off and the lower section repairing but much better

I think I'm going to have a similar thing on the 12V tray I have for my 66 - was what you did to pul the corner radius in so that the outer edge would sit flush against the inside of the side of the rear corner?

Yes that is correct, I ran a cut off wheel around the radius and tacked it in place until I was happy with how the shape fit the inside of the rear corner

Excellent job on the roof. That's how it's supposed to be done! I'm a big fan of using 3M panel bond with a spot welder. I'm curious, though, since you spotted the roof in, why not spot the other similar areas?

Brilliant thanks. I've been tapping mine with a hammer to try to avoid cutting but in reality it's just making it all a bit out of shape on the top.

Did you also do the Mike Fn Garage method of tack welding along the top edge rather than punching and welding along the flange?

No I marked the top and bottom, pulled it out and drilled holes around the corner and plug welded from the outside

Some work on the passenger side B pillar. The Klassic Fab inner pillar didn't have this little pressing. My OCD kicked in so I transferred if from the OG panel onto the new one...

Engine lid hanger welded in place. The top edge was rusty so made up two new sections and got them welded in and dressed up.

Hope everyone has a good Christmas and gets a break. Looking forward to getting this build thread up to date and getting cracking on the bus again.

Cargo door side B pillar fitted and welded up. This was a tricky repair as I had to redo both hinge mounts. The autocraft skin required some tweaks to the hinge mount as it was nearly 4mm out of alignment. Happy with the outcome, still some grinding to finish off...
